Frequently asked questions.

The QR Code is a two-dimensional further development of the barcode that you know from product packaging in supermarkets, for example. QR codes can be scanned and read with mobile phones, smartphones and tablets. Web addresses, telephone numbers, SMS and free text can be stored in them. They connect the physical and virtual worlds. QR stands for Quick Response, which refers to the instant access to the information encrypted in the code.
QR codes can be read with smartphones and tablet PCs and a free app. Start the app and point your smartphone or tablet's camera at the QR code. As soon as the code is recognized, the app shows you what information is hidden behind it, in our case the slideshow you created.
Secure and therefore recommendable apps are for example barcode scanners like QR Droid Private(for Android),Qrafter by Kerem Erkan (for iOS) or QR Code Reader (for Windows Phone). You should not use an app that directs you directly to a web page. Fraudsters have also discovered QR codes for their own purposes. They paste over QR codes of well-known brands with fake QR codes, which then lead to infected websites.
To read out QR codes, you must have Internet access with your smartphone or tablet PC. If reception is poor, delays or long waiting times may occur during the readout process. The destinations in the network cannot be accessed without Internet access.
All you need to do is install a corresponding app on your phone. App's are applications - i. e. small programs - that enable the mobile phone to scan. Apps are available for Apple devices like iPhone or iPad with the operating system IOS5 as well as for other smartphones running the Android operating system. These can be downloaded from the iTunes Store or the Android Market.
The tapes used are thick, very durable and have excellent adhesion on most surfaces thanks to their strong initial tack. The high performance 3M foam tape has a high initial adhesive strength and compensates for different expansion and unevenness of materials. As a result, the QR badges can be attached to a wide variety of surfaces, such as gravestones, urn walls, etc.. However, please observe the general rules for preparing adhesive surfaces / adhesive joints.
The surfaces must be dry and free of dust, oil, oxides, separating agents and other impurities. For this reason, clean the surface to be stuck on beforehand with suitable cleaning agents or mechanically.

The surface to be bonded must be firm in itself. The strength of an adhesive is only as good as the inner strength of the materials / surfaces to be bonded. On untreated wood surfaces, for example, it is not possible to achieve sufficient adhesion. Remedy: Pre-treat paint or primer with suitable primer.

The material temperature should be such that there is no temperature drop below the dew point (condensation). The most favourable processing temperature (object and ambient temperature) is between +15°C and +25°C.

The strength of the bond depends directly on the contact between the adhesive and the surfaces to be bonded. A short, high contact pressure ensures good surface contact.
After different, longer test series (weathering, solar radiation, temperature, reflection, etc.) with different materials (stainless steel, high performance plastic, different anodized surfaces, etc.) we decided for the material aluminium with a black anodized surface. This material has led to the best results when using the QR badges. Since we want to offer the best possible service to our customers, we sell our product exclusively made of high-quality, black anodized aluminium.
Larger images require more data volume and may slow down the loading time of the slideshow. Images that are much too small have a negative effect on the quality of the displayed images.
The presentation of the slideshow can vary depending on the browser used on your mobile device. This can be seen, for example, in terms of image size, differences in presentation for portrait or landscape format, centering of the images on the respective screen, and so on.

In order to minimize these differences in presentation and to create a slideshow with best quality, we recommend to use images of the same size when uploading images.

Take a look at the result in our preview function before placing your binding order.
The QR badges are readable for everyone. This means that the slideshow can be played and viewed by every grave visitor.

This was deliberately chosen by us. We are of the opinion that a grave must be a place of contact for all people who feel connected to the deceased.

The most beautiful memories of a loved one are those we can share with other people.
